What is your Shirt Size?

Beetle at Night
I have my tee shirt design more or less finished ^_^ The colours are off-white, tan, and chocolate. And will be on brown or dark olive or some such colour shirts. (maybe order some women's in lavender?)

But now I need to know an approximation of the range of shirt sizes that I need to order.

Women's XL is usually what I get because it usually equals a men's medium (depending on the brand), but I definitely prefer the more fitted style. Otherwise men's medium all the way.

yeah I hate wearing men's styled shirts XD I definitely want to cater more to the girls than is commonly done with these short run orders.

The maker of the shirt should be taken into consideration too. AAA and Gildan shirts tend to run larger than other makers. I wear 3-5xl depending on who makes the shirt. As for what size to go with, I think XL will probably fit a wider range of people and sell better.

I'm hoping to go with American Apparel but I might be forced into whatever the chosen printer wants to use so all I can get right now is a baseline really.

American Apparel = win. They have the upmost quality in their shirts; it feels very soft and is way thicker than most other brands offered by custom shirt printers (I hate Bella for example, it feels like it'll rip apart and is practically see-through).

If you can, PLEASE DO go for American Apparel because I totally support that choice of yours!

I almost always go for womens' smalls since I like the more fitted shirts. But. I'm also usually a minority there. XD 90% of the time there's like... one small to go around because they're so rarely ordered/worn.

Yeah.. every single time I want to buy a con shirt, they are already out of small. Honestly makes me wonder if they even order any at all.

I've started asking for a size or two up and just wearing it with my fursuit. XD

Is there a suggested size chart? I find that shirts can be all over the place depending on how much 'vanity sizing' is used & the shirt material.

I found American Apparel's size charts, so I will order based on their shirt sizing. http://store.americanapparel.net/sizing.html

I can wear a Women's 2X (sometimes 3X if it's really tight, darn boobs. But that's usually shirts that are cut lower/dressy - not tshirts.) or Mens L/XL! XD I switch between the 3 a lot.

Unfortunately I'm a rather portly person. I don't like shirts that are "fitted" (the style intended to be tight) because its just not flattering on me at all. I drown myself in a regular men's 2XL or 3XL. It's frustrating for me because a lot of great shirts don't come any larger than XL!

Yeah it's tough to know how many of those to get. Especially since there's usually an additional charge on anything past XL

American Apparel shirts tend to run on the small side. In most cases I wear a small or medium, but whenever I buy American Apparel shirts I always get at least a large, sometimes an XL. I prefer looser fits (but still like the women's cut) so I have to order larger to compensate. I have the same problem with convention shirts too, forget to get a small the first day and then they sell out. ;_;

Men's medium. I hate how fitted tee's get all up in the underarms, so I just get a mens and tailor the waist to fit >__>

I TOTALLY voted without actually reading the description on the shirts. D'oh! I don't often wear women's fitted because I hate the cut and that's what I accidentally hit... I usually wear men's/unisex M or L, depending.

Women's XL or Men's medium/large usually... I like men's shirts sometimes because the sleeves and shirt is longer in general and I'm tall.

NORMALLY I am just a medium or large, but american apparel shirts shrink so damned much in the wash even on cold that I have to get extra large.. and even then it can be "tight" later. x.x That was the same company my old workplace used, and I can't fit into any of my shirts anymore. :/

I actually usually wear a women's XS, but I'm technically a midget and don't ever expect clothes to fit me. A women's S usually fits okay, and is easy to take in if it doesn't. I do a lot of fitting of men's and kids' shirts to my womanly shape, actually, if any of you ladies want some done. ^^;

Also, shirtswhat? XD
